Position Overview
The Private Equity Associate / Senior Associate will play a central role across the full investment lifecycle. The individual will be involved in sourcing, evaluating, diligencing, and executing new investments, as well as supporting value‑creation initiatives and ongoing portfolio management within the firm's technology and healthcare focus areas.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Evaluation & Execution
• Conducts detailed financial modeling, valuation analyses, and return assessments tailored to tech and healthcare business models.
• Leads quantitative and qualitative due diligence, including customer data analysis, cohort evaluation, regulatory considerations, technology assessments, and operational reviews.
• Prepares investment memoranda, financial models, and presentations for investment committee discussions.
• Supports transaction processes end-to-end, coordinating with advisors, legal counsel, management teams, and internal stakeholders.
Sourcing & Market Research
• Performs thematic research to identify emerging trends in software, tech-enabled services, digital health, and healthcare services.
• Builds and manages sourcing funnels, including direct outreach to founders, operators, and intermediaries.
• Tracks and maintains pipeline activity through the firm's CRM and market intelligence platforms.
Portfolio Support & Value Creation
• Works closely with portfolio company leadership to monitor KPIs, financial performance, patient/customer metrics, retention cohorts, and operational initiatives.
• Supports strategic planning, budgeting, add‑on acquisition evaluation, and market expansion strategies.
• Assists in preparing board materials, monthly reporting, and performance dashboards.
Firm Contribution
• Contributes to internal process improvement, playbook development, deal evaluation frameworks, and best practices.
• Represents the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements within the technology and healthcare ecosystems.
Qualifications
Required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience, ideally in investment banking (software, healthcare, services coverage), private equity, growth equity, or management consulting.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, unit economics, SaaS metrics, healthcare revenue models, and valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
